Welcome to the Network!

The terms participation, migration, and disability / chronic illness are very fashionable in current anti-discrimination work. However, in everyday life, societies tend to misjudge the urgency and complexity of the task enabling equal participation possibilities for disadvantaged people. Furthermore, human diversity is still not fundamentally acknowledged and accepted. Even in academics, the complex issues of social and economic marginalisation of people with immigrant backgrounds and disabilities and / or chronic diseases are still hardly understood and researched.

The project Network Participation of Multiple Discriminated People wants to close this scientific research gap: The work of the European Social Fund (ESF) funded project is focussed on the overlapping forms of discrimination of multiple excluded people in working life and society. Based on empirical research, the project is going to work out concrete measures and recommendations for policy, business and science, with the main target to strengthen opportunities for the participation of multiple marginalised people.
